Ionia Sentinel Standard, 9 Mar 1988

Belding – Hazel M. Longwell, 88, of Belding, formerly of Ionia, died March 7 at
Orchard Hills Hospital in Belding.  She was born February 13, 1900, the daughter
of John and Effie Wise.  She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Ionia.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Helen) Martin of Carpenter, Wyo., and 12
grandchildren.

Complete funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Rich Street
Chapel of the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.  The Rev. Howard Potter will be
officiating.  Visiting hours will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday until service time.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Easton Cemetery.]
