Mrs. Longwell was born in Bloomer township, Montcalm county, May 10, 1870 and was the daughter of Chauncey and Harriet Decker. She lived in Bloomer township until she was married to Roy N. Longwell and in 1900 they moved to Ronald township and later to Ionia, in 1919. For the past several months, she had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Green of Muskegon. A member of the First Christian church in Ionia and the Mrs. Preston Sunday school class, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1938. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. William (Isabel) Brabb of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Gainor of Detroit; Mrs. Ernest (Ethel) Green of Muskegon; Mrs. Charles (Charlotte) Davis of Hastings; three sons, Earl and Clare Longwell, both of Ionia; Leo Longwell of Lake Odessa; 14 grandchildren and several great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Stone- Kauffman funeral home and interment will be in the Highland Park cemetery.
