          NAOMI LONGWELL

   HASTINGS - Naomi Longwell, 89 of Hastings, formerly of Lake Odessa, died
Wednesday at Pennock 
Hospital.

   She was born Sept. 16, 1897, to Rufus and Ettie (Horton) Olmstead.

   She married Leo Longwell on June 6, 1917, in Ionia.  He preceded her in death in
1968.

   She was employed by the Lake Odessa Canning Company for several years. She was a
member of the Lake 
Odessa Congregational Church, the Blue Star Mothers and was a past Grand Noble of
the Rebekah Lodge.

   Surviving are five daughters, Madge Brown of Hastings, Eloise Lyon of Bradenton,
Fla., Eddie Daivs of 
Jackson, Ruth Seymour of Hastings, and Marlya Blundy of Portland; one son, Roy
Longwell of Grand Rapids; 
several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Hattie Rhodes of Casa
Grande, Ariz.

   One brother, Howard, also preceded her in death.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in
Lake Odessa.

   Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

   The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2
to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 
p.m..
