Ionia -Standard - Thursday, March 19, 1914

Charlotte Emmie Burns was born in Lyons township in 1851, Nov. 23, where she 
lived until she united in marriage to Joel N. Longwell, Dec. 24, 1870, she 
passed away March 14, 1914. She was 62 years, 3 months, 21 days old. She leaves 
to mourn her loss a husband, J.N. Longwell and four children, Roy N. Longwell 
of Ronald, Floyd R. Longwell of Hastings, Arthur J. Longwell of Big Rapids, 
Alice R. VanVleck of Ionia and ten grandchildren, and other relatives and a 
host of friends.

Card of Thanks - We plan to express our gratitude to our friends and neighbors 
for their sympathy and many acts of kindness during the recent sickening and 
death of wife and mother; also the floral offerings and to the singers, J.N. 
Longwell, R.N. Longwell, F.R. Longwell, A.J. Longwell, Alice VanVleck
