Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Apr 1992

Robert A. Loomis, 81, died on Thursday, in Grand Haven.  He was born on April
13, 1910, in Lebanon Township to Horace and Kitty Loomis.  He was a life
president of the Ionia and Hubbardston areas.  He was married to Clarissa Vance;
she survives.  He was retired from the former Ionia State Hospital and was a
life member of the Masons.

He is also survived by three daughters, Donna Ray Gach of Grand Haven, Kate
Jackim of Detroit, and Edith Obenaus of Lansing; five grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the VanZantwick
Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home, 620 Washington, Grand Haven.  Burial will be in
East Plains Cemetery, Hubbardston.  A memorial has been established for the
Michigan Arthritis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
