Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday April 3, 1958

EVA LOOMIS DIED SATURDAY
Mrs.Eva Loomis, 64, of Grand Rapids passed away Saturday evening at her home 
after a long illness. She was the daughter of mr and Mrs William Shumway and was 
a graduate of the local high school in 1912. Following a business course in 
Grand Rapids she was employed for many years by the Winegar Furniture store and 
later by the Old Kent bank.

Mrs.Loomis was a former member of the Lake Odessa OES later transferring her 
membership to Grand Rapids. She was a member of the  Park Congregational church.

Surviving are her husband Claude, a sister, Mrs Charles (Ila) Hamp; a brother, 
John Shumway both of Lake Odessa and a niece, Mrs Chester (Joyce) Peevy of Grand 
Rapids.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Eggebeen Funeral Home, 
Eastern Avenue, Grand Rapids, with burial at Carson City.
