She was married to Frank Loomis Dec.28, 1904. After several years on the farm Rev.Loomis entered the ministry of the Methodist church in 1923, serving a period of five years or more at Eagle, Woodland, Freeport and the closing pastorate on the Saranac circuit. three years ago Mr.and Mrs.Loomis retired from the active work of the ministry and moved to their farm near Smyrna.After several months of illness she passed away early on Tuesday, May 16 at the age of 56 years, six months and 12 days. She is survived, besides her husband, by a daughter, Mrs. Gatha Newton; her aged father and one sister, Mrs.Audrey Earle, all of Smyrna. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Belding Methodist church. Rev.Thomas Rice, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Symrna. Mrs. Loomis was a woman of culture, refinement and a pleasing personality.She not only made many friends in the various fields in which she was a great help to her husband but she will be remembered by many in the Michigan Methodist conference, the W.C.T.U. and other organizations that had the betterment of society as their object. Not only will she be greatly missed by her family but by many friends with whom she has associated since girlhood days.
