The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, April 2, 1948

Mrs. Josephine V. Lord, 55, wife of Arthur Lord, died at her home, 647 
Harrison street, early Friday morning following a lengthy illness.  She was 
born September 7, 1892, in Ionia where she spent all her life.

Surviving her are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Hamblin; two 
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Soules of Flint, Ella Rushford of 
Durand and Catherine Schlernitzauer of Ionia; and three brothers, Noble T. 
Micks and William Micks of Durand and George Micks of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held from SS. Peter and Paul church Monday morning at 
9 o’clock.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Rosary will be said the 
Myers funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday.
