Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Jun 1957

Mrs. Mable (Harrington) Lord, 77, wife of S. Leroy Lord of 477 Rice street,
Ionia, died at the Ionia County Memorial hospital Thursday morning at 11
o’clock.  She had been hospitalized for the past two weeks and had been ill for
the past year.  

A daughter of Henry B. and Mary Harrington, she was born April 21, 1880 in
Orleans township and was married March 20, 1901 in Ionia county to S. Leroy
Lord.  She had lived her entire life in Ionia county except for three years in
Canada and three years in Chesaning.

One son died in 1903 at the age of six months and two brothers, Ray and Lorenzo,
preceded her in death.  Surviving besides her husband are several cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the
Boynton funeral home with the Rev. Heath Goodwin, pastor of the Ionia Methodist
church, officiating.  Interment will be in the family lot in Highland Park
cemetery.
