LeRoy Lord, 88, former resident of Ionia, died Tuesday in Bradenton, Fla. Mr. Lord resided in Ionia 50 years where he operated a lumber mill and a berry farm on Haynor road. He was married to Mabel Harrington and lived on Rice street. She died in 1957. In 1959 he married Nellie Hershelman of Girard, Pa., and lived in Pennsylvania and wintered in Florida since that time. Survivors include his wife, Nellie; a stepson, Robert Hershelman of Bradenton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Manvill Ward of East Springfield, Pa.; and a niece, Veda Cottrell of Long Lake, and several step-grandchildren. The Rev. Raymond Fassett will conduct service Thursday morning at Boynton funeral home and burial will be in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Friday, April 15, 1966 Funeral service for S. LeRoy Lord, 88, former Ionia resident who died late Monday night in Bradenton, Fla., was conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ray R. Fassett, pastor of Evangelical United Brethren church. Bearers were Louis Kahl, Edwin Roetman, Arthur Randall, Alden Rowley, Wallace Jackson and Lee Holland. Burial was at Highland Park cemetery. Attending the service from away were Mrs. S. LeRoy Lord and Robert Hershelman of Bradenton, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hershelman of West Springfield, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Carter of Palo, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bayne of Grant, and Mrs. Veda Cottrell of Long Lake.
