The Ionia Standard, Friday, May 28, 1897
Mrs. A. T. Lord, mother of M. S. Lord, died at the residence of the latter 
Wednesday morning.  Mrs. Lord has been in feeble health for some time, and 
Monday evening received a paralytic stroke from which she was unable to 
rally.  Funeral services will be held from the family residence today at four 
o’clock and the remains will be conveyed to Grand Rapids on the early train 
Friday morning for interment.
