The funeral discourse by Rev. C. E. Hoag was most consoling to the mourning friends as well as to the surviving children. The pallbearers were the four sons, Frank, Fred, Harry and Minturn, C. F. Preston, a son-in-law, and F. S. Loree. Mr. and Mrs. Loree came to Ionia in 1892, and the husband preceded to the better land 13 years ago. Besides the four sons named above, there is also one daughter, Floy—now Mrs. C. F. Preston. In her death a good mother has gone to her just reward and earnest rest.
