The shock was greater because but few were aware that she was sick at all, and even they did not realize that she was so near death’s door, as she had been confined to the house and bed but a few days. Mrs. Losey was known to most of the younger readers of The Observer for her uniform good nature and jolly disposition, and because she was a graduate of Portland high school, having graduated with the class of ’86. She had also again been attending school here the present term. She was beloved by her entire acquaintance. The funeral services were conducted from the home of the late deceased, (George Taylor’s farm in Danby, Mrs. Taylor being Mrs. Losey’s mother) on Tuesday forenoon of this week. Rev. Bird officiating. Mrs. Losey leaves a husband but no children. She was aged 28 years and 2 months.
