Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, Jan 2003

Marguerite Lott, 84, of Ionia and formerly of Ithaca, passed away Saturday, Jan.
4, 2003, at Spectrum Healthcare Center in Grand Rapids.  She was born Aug. 8,
1918, in Breckenridge, the daughter of George and Minnie Speidel Miller.  

She resided most of her life in Ithaca, Belding, and Eaton Rapids.  She married
Ovid Hagenbaugh in 1939.  She married Howard R. Lott on March 30, 1943.  He
preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1982

She worked for Gratiot County for 30 years as an abstractor, then for the Ionia
County treasurer’s office for two years, for the Montcalm County abstract office
for ten years and then she went back to work for Ionia County Equalization
Department for another six years.  She enjoyed crocheting and the Internet on
her computer.

Surviving are two daughters: Ruth Earegood of Alma, and Paula (Gene) Burns of
Ionia; one son, Robert Lott of Lansing; six grandchildren, 14
great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in
death by her parents, one son, Richard, two grandsons, Tommy and William, two
sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel, on
Thursday at 1 p.m.  Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday; and 2 p.m. to 8
p.m. Wednesday, with family present 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Church Outreach Program or the Diabetes Foundation.

The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, 125 S. Jeffrey St.,
Ithaca, Mich. 48847.

buried in New Haven Cemetery in New Haven Township.]
