John H. “Jack” Loucks, 75, of Belding, died Sunday morning Oct. 19, 2008 at 
Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming.

Jack was born Jan. 23, 1933 in Hubbardston the son of John and Midge McQuag 
Loucks. For many years Jack served as a meat cutter at Leppinks retiring in 
1998. He enjoyed traveling, doing crossword puzzles and listening to Paul 
Harvey. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jack was 
married on Aug. 31, 1957 to Victoria Hoppough and she preceded him on Oct. 17, 
1998.

He was also preceded by his parents and two sisters, Joan and Marilyn.

Jack is survived by his children, Deb (Bill) Schroeder of Greenville, Katherine 
Loucks of Belding, Maryann (Jim) Allen of Greenville, Diane (Kevin) Alexander 
of Lakeview and Michael Loucks of Belding and his very special companion, Karen 
Strader of Lake Odessa. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great-
grandchildren, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Janet Loucks of St. 
Johns, Kay and Gene Hodges of Carson City, Rose and Tom Bowler of Grand Ledge; 
brothers-in-law, Jim Mitchell of Belding and Duane Robinson of Arizona; sisters-
in-law, Betty Hall of Eckerman and Barb Stone of Ionia and several nieces and 
nephews. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will follow in Orleans 
Township Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral 
home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
