Born May 13, 1912, at Ridgetown, Canada, he came to Michigan as a boy and attended Wyandotte public schools. He was a meat cutter for many years working at a supermarket in Muir nine years and at one time he was farm manager at Empire Orchards. He married Patricia Wood of Lyons in October of 1946 and they made their home at Empire Orchard until 1953 when they came to Lyons. One son, Herbert, was killed in Vietnam in 1969. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; two sons, Richard of Wyandotte and Thomas of Muir; eight daughters, Mrs. Carol Murdock of Grosse Ile, Mrs. Jane Galetti, Mrs. Lois Miller, Mrs. Mary Missler and Mrs. Judith McCardle, all of Wyandotte, Mrs. Pamela Pennington of Pewamo, Mrs. Karen Dennis of Muir and Cheryl at home; 28 grandchildren; father, Harry Loucks of Wyandotte and brother, Glen Loucks of Wyandotte. Mr. Loucks will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir until noon Saturday when he will be taken to Muir Presbyterian church for services at 2 p.m. Rev. Robert McComb will officiate and interment will be at East Plains cemetery. ------------ Funeral services for Harold Alvin Loucks, who died Tuesday were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Muir Presbyterian church. Rev. Robert McComb of Ionia officiated and organist was Mrs. Robert VanderVeen of Lyons. Mr. Loucks was past master of Lyons lodge F&AM and lodge members attended in a group as did employees of Reynolds Food store of Muir where Mr. Loucks was employed nine years. Interment was at East Plains cemetery. Bearers were Stanley White, Herbert, Allen and Murdo Wood, Bruce Proctor and Keith Fenn.
