The son of Acie and Helen Brooks Loughin, he was born September 2, 1934 in Belding. On September 26, 1953, in Belding, he married Darlene A. Brown. For almost 40 years Dave was employed at McInerney Spring & Wire Co. in Grand Rapids. He was a dedicated member of United Auto Workers Local 687, a lifelong Democrat and a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Paula Loughin on May 30, 1954; son, Kenneth Loughin on August 3, 1981; and brother, Richard Loughin on April 18, 1978. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Darlene Loughin; son and daughter-in-law, Les and Kathy Loughin of Greenville; daughter, Terri Lynn Behrens of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Mary Helen Chambers of Vista, California; five grandchildren, Kristy and Laura Loughin, both of Greenville, Michael, Kevin and Lynn Ann Behrens, all of Chicago, Illinois; great-granddaughter, Tori Lynn Behrens of Chicago, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Arthur Mullen officiating. Private interment will follow in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
