Ionia County News, 25 Jan 1927

Calvin Loveland, 74, passed away at the home of his son, Samuel Loveland, in 
South Ionia, last Thursday evening, following an illness due to infirmities of 
his advanced years.  His health had been failing for many months.

The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the son’s home with Rev. W. F. 
Boettcher?, pastor of the Evangelical church in charge.  H. J. Boynton was the 
officiating undertaker, and interment was made in Balcom cemetery.

Mr. Loveland came to his son’s home from Ohio, six years ago, although he had 
lived for a time in this county previous to that time.

He is survived by two sons, Samuel Loveland, at whose home he died, and Jessie 
Loveland, whose whereabouts are unknown.
