All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Marilyn Ransom mlnransom@chartermi.net June 20, 2011, 8:28 pm The Lake Odessa Wave-Times, Friday, April 1, 1910 Mary Althera Reed was born in Ionia Co., June 25, 1837 and died at her home with her daughter, Mrs. Mary Simmons, with whom she has lived 12 years, in the northern part of Odessa, March 25, 1910, aged 72 years and nine months. At the age of seventeen she was married to Andrew J. Lovell; to this union were born four sons and three daughters, five children are with us today and two have preceded their mother to the other world. She has resided here during her whole life except that she lived at Livingston, N.Y. At the age of twenty-seven she was converted and joined the Wesleyan Methodist church and since that time has lived a consistent Christian life. Besides her five children, Mrs. H. Cook, Geo. F. Lovell of Woodland, Mrs. Jno. Heater, Mrs. Mary E. Simmons and Wesley Lovell of near Ionia, she leaves 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and also a large circle of friends and acquaintances by whom she will be missed. Although a great sufferer for a number of years she tried always to be very patient. The funeral services were held Sunday at the home three miles north of the Village conducted by Rev. I. H. Mourer.
