Lovell, daughter-in-law of the late Judge Louis S. Lovell, for whom Lovell Court received its name, died at her home in Rogers Park, a suburb of Chicago, Ill., Sunday morning. Mrs. Lovell was 100 years old at the time of her death. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Lovell made their home in Ionia and then later moved to Chicago. She is the former Mary Oakes from Vermont. Homer and Henry Lovell at one time owned and operated a hardware store in the building west of Gittleman’s Style shop. The first brick house in Ionia was built by Judge Lovell. Surviving is one son, Whitney. Two other sons, James and Aden, died within the past two or three years. Interment will be held at Highland Park cemetery with services at the grave, Wednesday afternoon.
