Lowell Journal, 6 Feb 1919

James Lovely was born in Hamilton, Canada, Feb. 3, 1839, and died Jan. 29, 1919,
aged 79 yrs. 11 mos. 27 days.  Interment Feb. 1 in the South Boston cemetery,
Rev. W. M. P. Jerrett officiating.  In 1866 Mr. Lovely was united in marriage to
Margaret Oser of Brant Co., Canada.  The deceased moved to Michigan where he
resided until the time of his death.  Throughout his life the deceased was
temperate, honest and industrious.  Promises he made to his wife, who preceded
him 44 years before, he faithfully kept until his death.  The immediate
relatives who survive him are one daughter and one son, Mary E. and Wilfred H.
of Boston township, one sister, Mrs. M. A. Page of Saranac, two brothers, W. H.
Lovely of Howard City and J. W. Lovely of Berkley, Cal., besides a large circle
of friends and acquaintances.
