Lake O Wave-Times - Friday, Nov. 4, 1921

Wallace Lovewell was born February 5, 1841, in Woodland township. He was 
united in marriage to Phoebe Jane Crapo, August 8, 1862. Two days later he 
enlisted in the U. S.  Army with 21st Michigan infantry, Co. A. and was 
discharged the following January for disability. Mrs. Lovewell remained with 
her parents until her husband returned from the service. They then purchased 
their farm in Campbell township, where they resided until 1894, when they 
moved to Lake Odessa.

Mrs. Lovewell passed away in the fall of 1901.

Mr. and Mrs. Lovewell were the parents of six children, two sons and four 
daughters, Geo. W. last heard from in Idaho, Orson of Lake Odessa; Mrs. W. 
Root, Cass City,  Mich., Mrs. Simon Sears, Campbell township, Mrs. Seymour 
Cunningham, Campbell township, one daughter, Cora, dying about three years 
ago. Since then Mr. Lovewell made his home with his daughter, Mrs. 
Cunningham.

He was a charter member of the F. and A. M. at Lake Odessa, also a member of 
the O.E.S.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. H. Lash at the Congregational 
church, Tuesday afternoon. Burial services under the auspices of the Masonic 
Fraternity at Lakeside cemetery.
