Thomas D. Lowe, 83, of Muir, passed away Saturday morning, November 15, 2014 at 
home under the loving care of his family and Ionia Area Hospice.  Thomas was 
born on May 4, 1931 in Bath, the son of Vernon C. and Irma R. (Giffels) Lowe. 

He graduated from Bath High School and later proudly served in the United 
States Army during the Korean War.  He enjoyed metal scrapping, hunting, 
fishing and had worked in St. Johns for the Clinton County Road Commission. 

He was married on June 7, 1958 in Grand Ledge to Christina Minor and she 
preceded him in 2009. He was also preceded by his parents, two brothers and two 
sisters; Don, Bernard, Arlene, Bernadine and three nephews. 

Thomas is loved and survived by his children; Cindy (Lee) Foster of Mason, 
Elizabeth Jerome of Lyons, Thomas D. (Wanda) Lowe II of Sunfield, Douglas L. 
Lowe of Midland, William A. Lowe, James A. Lowe both of Lyons, 12 
grandchildren, several great grandchildren, his sisters and brother; Lucille 
Braman of Battle Creek, Therese Braman of Grand Ledge, Florence (Dale) Plattie 
of Potterville and Bob (Mary) Lowe of Shaftsburg. 

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Lyons-Muir 
Church, Muir with Pastor Joe Robbe of Mount Hope Church, officiating.  
Committal prayers will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday 
from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lyon-Muir Church (Olmstead Road) and one hour before 
the service at church.  Memorial contributions may be given to Ionia Area 
Hospice.  Envelopes will be available at the church or Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
