Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 18 Dec 1950

Mrs. Hannah Lower, 77, died at the Ionia Convalescent home Sunday at 4:30 a.m.
after being a patient there for 1 ½ years.  She was born in Campus, Ill., April
27, 1873, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Morris.  She was one of a large family.
 She married Leon L. Lower Oct. 14, 1894, in Campus and lived there until 1922
when they moved to Ionia to make their home.  Mr. Lower died Nov. 21, 1931.  She
was a member of the Methodist church of Campus.

Surviving are four sons, Arthur and James of Ionia, Milton of Detroit and
Everett of Grand Rapids, two daughters, Mrs. Lester Dadd of Lansing and Mrs. Don
Clover of Francisville, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two
sisters, Mrs. Sadie Christian of Ottawa, Ill., and Mrs. Lydia Lakin of Aurora, Ill.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton funeral home Tuesday at 2
p.m. with Dr. Howard A. Smith officiating.  Interment will be in the family lot,
Highland Park cemetery.
