FREDERICK LOWERY of Portland
Died Monday October 30, 2017-age 86
Born December 6, 1930 son of Elmo & Merle (Ellwanger) Lowery.
Graduated at Portland high School class of 1948.
Married Patricia (Howard) while in the Marine corp.
Attended Central Michigan University where he played basketball. 
Received his Master's degree at Michigan State University.
Taught Physical Education, coached & Athletic Director at Portland High School.
Survived by his four children,10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister, 
many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends
After retirement spent time in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Preceded in death by wife Patricia of 63 years, parents, In-laws Wm. & Betty 
(Braford) Howard, daughter Katie & grandson Fred III.
Memorial Service Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 at Lehman Funeral Home, Portland at 11:00 
a.m. conducted by John Piercefield. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday. 
Memorial donations may be made to Compassus Hospice care or Portland Athletic 
Association in memory of Coach Lowery.
