Louis J. Lowery Jr., aged 78, of Muir passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006. He 
was born May 20, 1928 in Ionia the son of Louis and Alice (Holcomb) Lowery Sr. 
He married Donna Klingensmith July 18, 1956 in Ionia. In his earlier years he 
enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. He loved to farm.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Muir; children Linda and Ron Green of 
Ionia, Mike Lowery of Muir and Joe and Darlene Lowery of Muir. Step-children 
Roger and Terri Witzel of Sydney, Gary Witzel of Florida, Steve Witzel of 
Lyons and Joan and David Snyder of Ionia. Brother Tom and Sheryl Lowery of 
Muir. Sisters Jean and Mason Badder of Ionia, Helen and Cliff Chapman of 
Ionia, Frances and Alfred Wandel of Muir, Beatrice and Don Kimball of Arizona 
and Edith and Gary Bennett of Muir; 23 grandchildren and several great 
grandchildren also survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sons 
Lloyd and Alan. Brothers Ken and John and one sister, Ruth Weber.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lowery will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Lake Funeral 
Home in Muir, with Rev. Kendall Harger officiating. Visitation will be on 
Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
