Alice L. Lowery, 88, long-time Muir resident, passed away at a Greenville
nursing home.  She was born in Orange Twp. July 27, 1911, the daughter of Earl
and Annie (Shook) Holcomb.  She married Louis Lower Sr. in 1927 and he passed
away in 1989.

She is survived by two sons, Louis (Donna) Lowery Jr. of Muir and Tom Lowery of
Muir; six daughters, Helen (Cliff) Chapman of Ionia, Francis (Alfred) Wandell of
Muir, Jean (Mason) Badder of Ionia, Beatrice (Donald) Kimball of Arizona, Edith
(Gary) Bennett of Muir and Ruth (Dave) Webber of Muir; several grandchildren and
great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons,
John and Ken Lowery.

Visitation will be Tuesday all day and funeral services will be on Wednesday at
2 p.m. with Rev. Kendall Harger of Shiloh Community church officiating with
burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Muir.  Services will be at Hull Memorial Chapel
and memorials may be made to Clinton Memorial Home Care Service.
