Community Saddened At Death of Mrs. Earl Lowrey, Although Expected For Some Time. The village of Saranac was saddened Tuesday noon when the death occurred of Mrs. Earl Lowery, 35, who had been ill for about 10 months from the ravages of tuberculosis. She had been critically ill for several weeks and her death came as a climax to her long suffering. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from the late home with Rev. W. H. Halladay in charge. Interment was made in Saranac cemetery. She was born on May 6, 1890, in Kansas, and when five months old came with her parents to a farm near Saranac, in which vicinity she has lived ever since. She was married in February, 1911, to Earl Lowery. She was a faithful member of the Congregational church, a teacher in the Sunday school and a member of the Mite society. She is survived by her parents, her husband and two sons, Douglas and Rex, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Cordelia Schafer of Saranac and Mrs. Mary Rollins of Saranac; four brothers, Herbert, Charles and Ward Courter, of Saranac, and Floyd Courter, of Grand Rapids.
