Sentinel-Standard – 4 March 1969
A lifelong Berlin Township resident, Charles N. Lowery, 81, of 236 Orchard, 
Saranac, died Monday at Ionia Manor following an extended illness.  Born 
December 4, 1887 in Berlin Township, he was the son of Abraham and Emma 
Lowrey.  He was a farmer and former Berlin township treasurer and resident of 
Saranac the past 10 years.



Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Claud Shellenbarger, route 1, Saranac; two 
stepsons, Edward Walter and A. L. Walter both of Saranac; one stepdaughter, 
Mrs. Dale Marshall of Saranac; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 pm at Morris-Roetman funeral home in 
Saranac.  Rev. Luther Brokaw will officiate with interment at Lakeside Cemetery 
in Lake Odessa.
