Ionia Sentinel Standard - Dec. 1, 1969


SARANAC – Mrs. Lylia Lowrey, 85, of route 1, Saranac died Sunday at Ionia 
Manor. She was born November 30, 1884 in Berlin Township, the daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Philo Benedict. She was married January 6, 1909 to George Lowrey and 
he died in 1954. She was a member of Saranac Community Church.

 Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Oliver Fedewa of Route 1, Saranac, and a son 
Clayton of Saranac; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morris Roetman funeral home in 
Saranac. Rev. John Hancock will officiate and interment will be at Balcom 
Cemetery.
