Lowry, 65, of 135 Grant street, Portland dentist since 1924, died Tuesday morning at St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing after a lengthy illness. He was born March 14, 1898 in Greenville and moved to Portland at the age of five. He was a dentist in Portland 39 years until his recent illness. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Dale Hyland Post of American Legion. He was a life member of 31 RAM and past master of Masonic lodge 258 of Portland. His wife, Winifred, preceded him in death two years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Merle Todd of Breckenridge, and Martha at home; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Eloise Cavanagh of Portland. Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Neller funeral home. Graveside service at Portland cemetery will be under the auspices of Portland Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post. Bearers will be Adam Fedewa, William Howard, William Dutcher, Charles Quick, John Linebaugh and Joseph Buck.
