He was born in Ireland, but came to this country alone, when he was a mere lad, and few letters were exchanged with his relatives thereafter. He remained in New York a number of years and about 30 years ago came to this part of the country. He lived on a farm in Sebewa township until nine years ago, when he was obliged to quit farming because of failing eyesight. Mrs. Loy died two years ago. The nearest relative is a nephew, Thomas Macguiggan, of Portland, Oregon, who arrived in Portland Saturday. Mrs. Mary Franks looked after the household affairs after the death of Mrs. Loy. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick church Monday morning, Rev. Fr. William J. O’Rourke officiating.
