Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 May 1967

Mrs. Emma Lucas, 95, resident of Pilgrim Manor in Grand Rapids for several 
years, died early Saturday morning in St. Marys hospital in Grand Rapids. 

She was born June 11, 1871 in Ionia county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob 
Garlinger.  A former resident of Lake Odessa, she was a charter member of Lake 
Odessa Congregational church and Sunday school.

Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Spaulding of Grand Rapids; three 
grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa with Rev. Arthur Ruder officiating and burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
