Wright Luce, youngest child of George and Syntha Luce was born December 25th, 1854 and departed this life on January 4, 1921, being 67 years, one week and three days of age. In the year 1856 he came to Michigan with his parents and three other children, the family settling near what was then but a village. On Oct. 7th, 1872, he was united in marriage to Miss Irene Sisco? and had not death intervened, they would of soon celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. To this union was born two sons, Roy Luce of this city and Ralph Luce of Detroit, Michigan, there being five grand children. Mr. Luce had been in his usual good health up to a few minutes before he was stricken, death was due to apoplexy. Besides the family he is survived by several relatives and a host of friends. He was a kind husband and father, an excellent neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever possible. The funeral was held from the Methodist church on Friday where comforting words were spoken to the bereaved ones by Rev. Osborne. The Oddfellows, of which he was a member attended in a body.
