Bert (Cora L.) Luce of 113 ½ S. Pleasant street passed away Thursday, March 10th at the Weedmark Convalescent home on I.O. street after an illness of two years. Mrs. Luce was born June 14, 1876 in Racine, Wisconsin. Her parents were Hobart and Eliza Hanks. She had resided in this city for more than 50 years. The deceased is survived by one son, Kenneth R. Luce, of Elkhart, Indiana, two daughters, Mrs. Thomas W. Potter, of Greenville, and Mrs. Helen Allen of this city, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Huffman Funeral Home; with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating. Burial was in River Ridge cemetery. Pall bearers were Roy Johnson, Arthur J. Clark, Otto Jorgensen, Clyde Stahl, Orrie Allen and Chester Olger.
