At the age of four she came with her parents, Joshua and Anna Ross and family to Lyons, Mich., where she spent the remainder of her life. In January 1868 she was married to Peter Ludwick of North Plains. One son, Herman C. was born to them. Peter Ludwick, her devoted husband passed away Oct. 30, 1902. Mrs. Ludwick joined the United Brethren church of North Plains on Sept. 10, 1911 and was a faithful member always. She loved her home and her whole interest was centered there, living a life of devotion and service to those around her. She was a woman of good health until December last when her strength began to fail and the forces of her physical life gradually succumbed to a serious organic heart disease. She departed this life at her old home in North Plains June 3, 1914. Her son, Hermon C. and two grandsons, Ernie and Ross, also a host of loving friends, and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Smith of Lansing and Mary Griswald of Grand Rapids are left to mourn for her.
