Ludwick, 78, wife of Fred J. Ludwick, of near Ionia, died Tuesday morning, June 29, at 4:00 o’clock after an illness of several months. She was born December 12, 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Cook, in Vassar. December 23, 1877 she was married to Fred J. Ludwick and they spent their entire married life in Clinton county with the exception of the past 11 years when they lived on their present home in Nickle Plate. Had Mrs. Ludwick lived until December 23 they would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Wilson, of Nickle Plate, and Mrs. Mina Leach, of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Effie Ludwick of Pewamo, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, July 1, at 2:00 o’clock at the home in Nickle Plate. Rev. Chester Barr, of the North Plains church, will officiate and the interment will be in the North Plains cemetery.
