She was married to George M. Ludwick June 25, 1854. They moved to Michigan in the fall of 1860. One year later they settled on the farm which has since been her home. She was a member of the German Reform church. Five children were given to them, four sons and one daughter. Three sons survive her—Ervin A. of Vestaburg, Henry C. of Lansing, and Charles A. who always remained on the farm and cared for father and mother. Also three sisters survive her—Mrs. John Hutchison of Barberton, Ohio, Mrs. George Beckel of Defiance, Ohio, and Mrs. Cook of Harbor Springs, Mich., the latter being present at the funeral. Mrs. Ludwick was a kind and loving mother, kindly disposed to her neighbors, and beloved by all who knew her. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the home, Rev. Chatfield officiating. She was laid at rest in the West Side cemetery at Hubbardston.
