Mrs. Susan Ardis Ludwick, 71, of 156 Jefferson, Pewamo, died Wednesday morning 
at the Ferguson-Droste hospital in Grand Rapids.  Born in Pewamo July 3, 1903, 
she was the daughter of James and Mary Doherty Davarn.  She was a retired 
school teacher having taught many years in Pewamo’s school district.  She was 
a member of the St. Joseph Altar society.  

Her husband Harold Ludwick died in 1966.  Surviving are three sons, David and 
Thomas of Ionia, and Peter of Pewamo; 18 grandchildren and one great 
grandchild; sister, Mrs. Mary Long of Eaton Rapids.

Rosary will be recited Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s chapel at 
Westphalia.  Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church 
in Pewamo.  Msgr. Thomas Bolger will officiate and interment will be at the 
St. Joseph cemetery. Pewamo.  Bearers will be Steve Croel, Bruce Sutherland, 
William Heckman, Carl Walter, Bruce Kramer and Vern McQueen.

Arrangements were made by Neller funeral home at Portland.
