Ludwick, 53, of Ionia, died Monday at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. He was born September 13, 1932 in Pewamo, the son of Harold and Susan Davarn Ludwick. He attended Pewamo schools and graduated from Pewamo High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict from December 1952 to 1954. He worked at Ionia Manufacturing Company until 1959, when he started work at the Michigan Reformatory. He was a 27-year employee at the Michigan Reformatory, and at the time of his death was superintendent of prison industries. He married Beverly Ingold on February 23, 1963 in Ionia, and has lived in Ionia since then. He was active in the Tri-County League Baseball, and played for the Pewamo team for 10 years and the Ionia team for 3 years. Surviving are his wife, Beverly; three sons, Dennis Wilson of Philadelphia, Pa, Kim Wilson of Ionia, and Michael Lehman of Lake Odessa; three daughters, Toni Lafler of Ionia, Margaret Brooks of Ionia, and Misti, at home; 9 grandchildren; two brothers, David of Sterling Heights and Peter of Ionia. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Montgomery-Leddick Funeral Home in Ionia. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery. Rosary services will be Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation for family the family will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials and contributions can be given for the family at the funeral home.
