She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sweitzer, pioneer residents of Woodbury and Lake Odessa area, settling south of Woodbury in 1855 when Mrs. Ludwig was about a year old. She first came to Lake Odessa in 1891?, resided in Portland thirteen years, and returned here in 1917. Her husband Warren passed away in 1912. Surviving are three sons, Birney K. of Lake Odessa, Claud C. of Lansing and Harland A. of Prescott, Ariz., one daughter Mrs. Tressie E. Robinson of East Lansing, twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary U. B.? church of which she was a member, with burial in Lakeside cemetery, Rev. M.H. Dawson officiated.
