Greenville Independent, 3 Apr 1907

Another old pioneer gone.  John Luick died at his home in Belding Wednesday 
morning, March 20, after a painful illness of several months duration, aged 78 
years.  He was born in Germany.  He was an honest, hard working man and has lived 
in Otisco 62 years.  He was the father of 9 children, 4 sons and 5 daughters, all 
but one of whom survive him and were present at his funeral.  He also leaves an 
aged wife.  Funeral was at his home in Belding Friday, interment in Otisco 
cemetery.
