The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 9, 1980

Services for Julia Lukas, 86, of Crystal were held Wednesday at the Schnepp 
Funeral Home, Crystal.  She died Feb. 4 at the Owosso Hospital.  Funeral Mass 
was held at St. Mary’s Church, Carson City, with Father Paul Johnson 
officiating.  Burial was in Crystal Cemetery.

Born Feb. 26, 1893 in Poland, she moved to the United States in 1912.  A 
former Ionia resident, she moved to Crystal in 1960.  She was a member of St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church in Carson City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1967.  She is survived by 
two daughters, Anna Griswold of Ionia and Helen Mlynek of Owosso; three sons, 
George and Edward, both of Owosso, and Frank of Chapin; 17 grandchildren; and 
21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Gary Griswold, Phillip Smith, Glenn Lukas, Frank Lukas Jr., 
Tom Brown and Charles Kortes.
