Portland Observer, 16 Mar 1939

Funeral rites were held at the Neller Funeral home Sunday afternoon for Mrs. J. 
J. (Pert) Lumbert, 79, who died suddenly Friday morning.  Although in poor 
health, she had been attending to her regular duties.  Burial was made in 
Portland cemetery.

Mrs. Lumbert is survived by the husband and a half-sister, Mrs. Hilda Smith of 
Newberg, New York.
