LAKE ODESSA – Nellie B. Lumbert, 71, of Lyons, formerly of Lake Odessa, died 
Sunday in Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 26, 1916, in Lake Odessa, she was the daughter of Jacob and Nancy 
Shelton Harrington. She attended Lake Odessa schools.

She was married to Fred Lumbert Sept. 17, 1935. He died May 24, 1963.

Surviving are six daughters and two sons; Betty Pomerville of Poplar Bluff, 
MO.; Doris Barterau of Ionia; Morris Lumbert of Saranac; Lois Ann Chase of 
Saranac; Judy Dryer of Sunfield; Ruth Lumbert of Lyons, Jack Lumbert of Lyons; 
and Alice Spalding of East Lansing; 25 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 
two brothers, George and Fred Harrington of Lake Odessa; one sister, Edith 
Foote of Hastings; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel, 
Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Richard Sessink officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
