April 24, 2013 Mrs. Linda Lumbert, 64, of Middleton, Mich., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 with her loving husband holding her hand. Linda was born Nov. 30, 1948 to Kirby and Betty Nelson in St. Louis, Mo. She devoted her life to taking wonderful care of her handicapped son, Chad, who she loved and adored dearly, of 34 years. Also, she worked at a factory and at Walmart in the Deli Section and was a homemaker. Linda was a people person, she loved to talk to everyone and was a loving wife and mother and will be terribly missed. Linda liked to collect dolls, teddy bears, all kinds of crystal and antiques, and liked flowers, and liked to camp with her husband and son. She was proud to display her beautiful Christmas village she put out every Christmas. She also loved to write letters and draw pictures for her grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents and dear son, Chad. She is survived by her husband, Frank Lumbert Jr.; daughter, Christina (Jeff) George; two grandsons, Branden and Justin George; sister, Sandi Sherwood; two brothers, Ronald (Claudia) Nelson, and Donald Nelson; and lots of nieces and nephews. Cremation took place, along with a small family gathering at a church by her home and at the cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Autism Society, or Riley Hospital for Children (both close to her heart). I love you Mommy and Chad Bo!
