Lake Odessa Wave - May 30, 1963
          FRED L. LUMBERT PASSES AWAY

   Fred L. Lumbert, 49, passed away at his home on Tupper Lake Rd. about 8 p.m.
Friday night.

   A native of Eaton county, he was the son of Benjamin and Ruth Lumbert and had
lived in the area for a 
number of years.  He married Nellie Harrington, September 17, 1935 at Lake odessa.

   Surviving are his wife Nellie:  seven daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Betty) Johnson of
Lake Odessa, Mrs. Doris 
Wacha of Sunfield, Mrs. Albert (Lois) Chase of Ionia Mrs Donald (Noreene) Hillis of
Grand Rapids, Judy, Ruth, 
and Alice at home; two sons, Morris of Hastings and Jack at home; his father
Benjamin Lumbert of Sunfield 
and thirteen grandchildren.

   Funeral services were held on Monday at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in
Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. 
Luther Brokaw officiated.
