Ionia County News, 12 Oct 1961

Burton Lumbert, 77, a retired merchant in Sunfield, died Friday, September 22 at
a Lansing hospital after a prolonged illness.  He was a native of Portland.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy, five daughters, Mrs. Malene Morris, Mrs. Florence
Sunpken and Mrs. Joyce Boom, all of Sunfield, Mrs. Arizona Cornish of Coldwater
and Mrs. Nevada Cornish of Coldwater; three sons, Charles Linville of Kentucky,
Kendrick of Cleveland, Tenn. and Charles Cornish of Howell and a half-sister,
Mrs. Alice Sayers of Woodbury.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 25, with burial in Portland
cemetery.
