LAKE ODESSA – Neva Bartel Lupton, 73, of Manton, formerly of Lake Odessa, died 
Wednesday at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac following an extended illness.

She was born June 30, 1904, the daughter of Lewis and Marrietta Waite Paddock. 

She married Arthur Bartel and they lived in Lake Odessa, operating a sports 
shop on Jordan Lake. He preceded her in death in 1971. She married Lester 
Lupton, he preceded her in death in 1975.

Survivors include one son, Neil Perry of Manton; four grandchildren, eight 
great grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.

Services are Saturday afternoon in Manton with graveside services Sunday 
afternoon in Lakeside Cemetery with Rev. William Hertel officiating.
