Jacob Luscher, well known resident of Ionia county, died suddenly at Ionia, late Monday afternoon of heart failure. Mr. Luscher was a retired farmer moving from Sebewa to Ionia. Last Saturday he celebrated his eighty first birthday. Early Monday afternoon he laid down for a short rest and later went to the home of Charles Atwell where he passed away. Besides his widow, Mrs. Emma Luscher, he is survived by five daughters of a former marriage, Mrs. Alma Sanburn, of Sunfield; Mrs. Emma Gibbs, of Portland; Mrs. Ada Johnson, of Biggam City, Utah; Mrs. Nora Tussing, of Lake Odessa; and Mrs. Edna McNeil of West Sebewa. He is also survived by one brother, William Luscher of Sebewa township. Funeral services were held this afternoon and burial made in East Sebewa cemetery.
